Frankenvirus is a slang term for a lab created chimera (A chimera or chimeric virus is a virus that contains genetic material derived from two or more distinct viruses.), which may cause neurological injury to the infected as it has neurotxic genes like GP120 from HIV.
One of the dark sides of virology is making Frankenviruses, such as mixing human aids and monkey aids ie SIV/HIV.
