GANZ is an exceedingly versatile slang term, and can be employed in a whole host of situations and contexts. Typically, if you find something particularly displeasing then it can be defined as “ganz.” If you happen to perpetrate an especially harrowing or offensive act towards someone or something, then you have “ganzed” them. The word, as used in these contexts, has colloquial linguistic roots in the southeastern region of Michigan, particularly Ypsilanti. The word has found its way all the way down to the northeastern panhandle of West Virginia, the DC metropolitan area, and even in suburban areas of Tampa, Florida such as Hudson in Pasco County.

As an adjective:
1.) Very unpleasant, disagreeable.
2.) Warning of or having dreadful or terrible consequences.
3.) Fraught with extreme danger.
4.) Not likely to please; objectionable.

As a verb:
1.) To cause displeasure, anger, resentment, or wounded feelings in someone
2.) To transgress; violate, or upset the normal decency of a situation
3.) To insult intentionally, especially openly.
4.) To discard, dispose of, or divert attention from something or someone in a negative manner.

(Also a term sometimes used to describe marijuana, usually of a peculiarly potent nature.)
