Is the act of taking something that doesn't belong to you without permission and getting away with it. The term originated in 2020, in the Chicagoland area. After the death of George Floyd on May 25, looting's and unrest have rocked the cities across the United States. Many looters were caught on tape, some with their faces visible. Others even posted their own videos of their climes on social media. Statistics show that large percentage of those cases were dismissed, and that many convictions were for counts like trespassing that carry no jail time.
In 2020, Blueface was out shopping for furniture for his new home when he caught a case of sticker shock. After seeing how much these items cost, he jokingly asked for a sympathy discount. "Aye, y'all tell them to give me that George Floyd discount, cuh," Blueface said in a now-deleted post to his Instagram Story. "I need that Black Lives Matter discount."
