global sense
From the book, GLOBAL SENSE, by Judah Freed (an update of Thomas Paine's "Common Sense."). Term is used when an idea or action makes common sense from a global perspective. If everyone on earth thought or said or did that thing, the outcome would be good for the world.
Buying a hybrid car makes global sense. Eating food filled with preservatives does not make global sense. Mindful self rule makes global sense. Giving in to our authority addiction does not make global sense. Nonviolent social protest makes global sense. Violence and war does not make global sense. Promoting genuine democracy through self-restraint makes global sense. Imposing so-called "democracy" by force does not make global sense.
