Grustard
Grustard is a automotive term for when your steering wheel locks up, or is misaligned, resulting in complications in the steering mechanism. It is almost always spontaneous, so saying one had an 'unexpected grustard' would be redundant. Popularized the late William Grustard in 1986, the competitive street racer coined the term when his steering wheel locked up, resulting in him losing both of his legs, later driving him to suicide in 1994. Grustard is not to be confused with the audio company Gustard.
"Hey man, how did you total your Honda Civic? It was working just last week!" "One word - Grustard."
