Amber Heard Word
A word that you use interchangeably with another word that has a different meaning despite knowing the difference.
Example 1:
Person 1: "I donated that money"
Person 2: "did you pay either of those charities?"
Person 1: "not yet"
Person 2: "then you haven’t donated the money, you only pledged it"
Person 1: I use pledge and donate synonymously"
Person 2: "well I don’t use them synonymously…this is one day going to be called an Amber Heard Word"
Example 2:
Person 1: "Hey did you check out the Sears sale going on?"
Person 2: "you know that’s a bed bath & beyond right?"
Person 1: "yeah but I just call it sears"
Person 2: "I guess that’s your Amber Heard Word"
