Homoploy

A homoploy is a ploy used by gay people to advance their agenda politically and socially.

Often brilliantly done by using innocuous words to soften or change the offensive nature of their agenda.

Ex: Sexual preference??? I prefer Coke to Pepsi but Pepsi will do if Coke isn't available.

The question "your sexual preference" is a homoploy. I'm a straight, heterosexual man so I don't have a preference - I'm straight.
