Hood Adjacent
a person who grew up in a hood-neighborhood and/or around hood activity, but did not grow up in a hood household in the hood-neighborhood, and does not exude hood characteristics. This person is familiar with the hood, feels a special closeness to it, and loves participating in hood activities when invited.
These people are sometimes perceived as stuck-up or bourgeois, but were more than likely sheltered, and proud to associated with their neighborhood.

A neighborhood that is almost a part of the hood or is in very close proximity to the hood rat.
