hoogh
A noise that can mean anything depending on the inflexion of the voice and facial expression. A soft, quiet hoogh where the mouth is positioned in an 'o' shape presents a neutral greeting, with less emphasis on the 'gh' at the end of the word. An excited, loud hoogh with open mouth and teeth showing is one that expresses excitement, enthusiasm, joy and almost any positive emotion. To show anger, teeth are bared with the mouth in an overbite position and the hoogh is expressed with a low, gravelly, angry noise.
