Hyper Awareness Syndrome
Someone who is acutely aware of their situation, surroundings, position in life and or location.
Sufferers may display high sensitivity to their living situation and surrounding environment and in severe cases may display bouts of eccentricity, unbridled emotions, anxiety, suicidal thoughts and tendencies, existentialism, depression, a lack of a motivational drive, and a lack of fulfillment.

The patient in the mental ward who displays heightened awareness of their surroundings and position in life is suffering from H.A.S. (Hyper Awareness Syndrome). They are being given anti-depressants and therapy to help them cope and deal with their nihilistic and existentialist fueled trauma.
