俚语 impersion
释义

IMPERSION

1. Noun: IMPERSION
An acting technique, in Immersive Storytelling, where the actor, while "in performance," must align AN external (sometimes conflicting) point-of-view and their own, predetermined multi-linear narrative, towards a Shared Immediate Objective using Improvisation

2. Verb: IMPERSION
Without Deception, Communicating an AGREED TRUTH within and while , supporting a fully predetermined-immersive reality

a. Agreed truth: A character's accepted fact or their immediate response to a fact through a process of consistent veracity.

Much like Stanislavki's Method, where, the actor must relive the character's experience as their own, Impersion requires the actor to BLEND the script's written truths with their own unwritten embodiment of the character to create "agreed truths" that surround the written/scripted facts. Then, the ACTOR must improvise -- their agreed truths alongside and in specific time with the written facts in order to maintain authentic connection with the audience's point of view WHILE the audience's POV is changing.

What truly differs great Impersion from great Improvisation is that Impersion exists within a scripted narrative, reveals personal intent or information within scripted timing and is, most importantly, interdependent on the "AUDIENCE'S" POV while it changes"
"The written scene between Actors A and B was cool, but the Background Actor's impersion revealed more of the story that I was, personally, interested in."

"The new Grand Theft Auto's detailed impersion helped me balance the control I have of my character (interactive) with the lack of control I have of the overall shared story (immersive)."
