An older, more affordable car purchased by a college student. Usually a temporary vehicle bought for a certain specific purpose, such as work commute, weekend trips etc. Typically plagued by problems due to user error, and within the first 3 years of ownership, repairs cost as much as, if not more than the vehicle itself.
