Kassiani Ant
Kassiani Ant (Cassianus Myrmicinae in Latin) is but a small subspecies of ant that thrives in the coastal regions of Attica, Greece.
Their name is derived from Saint Kassiani, who wrote a multitude of hymns in Byzantine Times, as they, too, communicate via elaborate melodious patterns.
Little is known about these creatures, yet scientists suspect they have obtained their unique method of communication by mimicking the ceaseless noise of urban life.
Their life span is estimated to be approximately 13-14 years, surpassing the average ant by a staggering 6-7 years!

I kept hearing strange noises coming from my basement. Little did I know, it was not a demonic entity, yet a Kassiani Ant nest.
