KompaRengue
KompaRengue is the Haitian style of the Dominican Merengue music, characterised by traditional instruments:tambora (a type of double-headed drum), electric bass guitar. guiro, hi hat, cuatro, conga, Tuba, marimba, timbales, accordion, trumpets, piano/Keyboards, Trumpet, Trombone, and saxophones
Both genres share many similarities, they're both played on a fast 2/4 beat and use catchy melodies and rhythms.
The only difference is the Dominican Merengue is sung in Spanish while the Haitian KompaRengue is sung in Haiti's Haitian Creole.
