leave of abstinence
A specific period of time in which one decides, for personal reasons, that they are not going to have sex.

"Leave of abstinence" is a term used to describe when a person stops their voluntary restraint from indulging in bodily activities that are widely experienced as giving pleasure. Most frequently, abstinence refers to sexual abstinence, or abstention from narcotics, alcohol, tobacco, caffeine or food.
