Lonely Digging

In a club, bar or party where music is played - to be the only one of a group of friends to groove with the music. Lonely Digging may include: tapping your foot, closing one's eyes and nodding your head, moving in your chair and may escalate to be the only one to get up and dance. See 'Digging'.
Usually used positively, as a term of respect to those who are not ashamed to dance.
Lone Digger - of a group of friends, someone who is prone to lonely digging.
I'm seeing Lisa and Matt tonight. I guess it's a night of lonely digging for me.

None of my friends will dance; I'm such a lone digger.
