mallbrat

A person primarily teenage or tweenage years, who visits and lingers at shopping malls, commonly close to their place of residence. Their purpose is to loiter with others of same age, for the purpose of socializing. They frequent malls because they're at the age where they're too young to be employed or to be driving, yet too old to remain at home away from friends. Mallbrats can form cliques within said environment. Summer season is a time when they are found in greater numbers, since school is no longer in session.
