He rose into fame when he landed the last hit on Edward Newgate (Whitebeard strongest man alive) and obtained the Gura Gura no mi and became the first man to have two devil fruit power and short bit later replaced Whitebeard’s place a yonkou (one of the FIVE strongest pirates in the world)
