Mischievious
A common and disgusting mispronunciacion and/or spelling of the word mischievous. Mischievous is pronounced "miss-CHI-vus" and there is no "ious" about it. Some people insist that mischievious is an "alternate pronunciation," but only in the way that irregardless is a synonym for regardless--that is to say, only for fucking retards. Some argue that it is the evolution of language, but changes like this are driven by the illiterate and the ignorant, and it is careless to embrace them. And embarrassing.
"I'm intelligent and mischievious!" (oxymoron)
"Mischievous is not like devious, it's a completely different word you dumb shit." --Me
"Since everyone says mischievious it's not wrong." --what my dumbass friends insist if the subject comes up over strong drink.

Mischievious
Trouble making. Mischievous. Devious. Naughty. This word began as an alternate pronunciation of mischievous but really has since branched off to become its own word, with its own spelling and pronunciation. People who use the word mischievious when speaking often also understand and recognize the word mischievous when spoken but often do not realize that the two were originally the same word. One might then consider them to simply be different words entirely (synonyms with confusingly similar spelling). According to Merriam-Webster's dictionary, there is evidence of the spelling "mischievious" going back to the 16th century. However, some people still view it simply as a mispronunciation and not as an actual word.
He is a mischievious little boy.
