Mismassticate
The name given to misjudging the weight of an object, resulting in a faster than expected jerky action when picking it up. This normally occurs when an object is lighter than expected.
"I mismassticated the kettle and threw hot water everywhere. People should be careful not to missmasticate containers with hot fluids in them."
