Mistory
Mistory - that part of the story of our past that is not supported by evidence or for which evidence is conflicting, may be based on speculations drawn from questionably related evidence, is widely believed in spite of a lack of evidence. That part of the story that is neither pure myth nor historical fact. Possibly the larger part of the story.
Personifications of Shakespeare, Joan of Arc, and Jesus Christ are a part of mistory. Mistory is a sorely needed relative term. We have too many purported absolutes in the dictionary already. Mystery and mistory are related; but mistory represents a body of pseudo knowledge, whereas mystery can derive strictly from imaginations.
