moonpeace
The length that a person will go to for a little peace of mind in their life. The word was coined by a recovering drug addict. Specifically, it refers to the life of an active (still using) drug addict who will continuously go to any length, doing whatever it takes for even just a little relaxation. Ironically, the temporary relaxation that the drugs offer in the beginning eventually becomes impossible to obtain as now the addict is hopelessly and forever troubled. His only hope for any peace now lies in abstinence from all substances--an extremely tough challenge indeed.
His moonpeace took him to ugly and painful places, costing him dearly, first taking his employment, his savings, his family, his friends, his freedom, his health, and finally his life.
