Makes Compton look like Disney Land. Not the best holiday destination for tourists, though it would make a good safari park. Moss Side has long been the 2nd roughest place in England, second to Salford.

Moss Side is a fairly small, deprived, inner city area of Manchester with a big attitude. Inhabited by some of the most violent gangs in the country, walking the streets at night there is more dangerous than walking around Baghdad with a tshirt saying "IM A NIEVE BRITISH TOURIST, KIDNAP ME!". The only reason outsiders go to Moss Side is to score drugs or pick up prostitutes, otherwise people just avoid the place all together. Even cops dont like to patrol the streets on foot.

Many people call Moss Side the Compton of England. They are wrong. Compton is the Moss Side of America. Moss Side and its surrounding areas actually have a higher murder rate per capita than Compton.

Ok I just wanna say that yeah sure it is 1 of the worst places in the UK but no way could it EVER be percieved as the same LEVEL as Compton! Yeah sure it had a murder rate of 140 per 100,000 in 2002 much higher than Compton. However it is very small and if you look at certain equally sized areas in Compton you will probably find somewhere along the lines of 900 per 100,000 people murdered I am serious no way could you ever put it as more dangerous than Compton, Compton is 1 of the most dangerous cities on Earth literally! No fuckin comparison m8! Compton has more murders than the WHOLE OF MANCHESTER most years nuff said!

Please don’t ever compare a neighborhood to England to any inner city in the US. Miss side was a small inner city neighborhood that was decently bad in the 90s. But people who compare it to Compton are weird. Stop trying to be something your not. Miss side has never looked as rough as Detroit, Baltimore. Compton. Or any inner city US city. Stop please, you compare moss side which has never had a population over 18,000 to an entire city in America which has always had a population of 80,000+ and is apart of the LA metro. The only reason why mods side had a higher murder rate than Compton was because it was so small. Manchester doesn’t even come close to the amount of murders any major US city has including Compton and never has.
