newfinease
The official language of Newfoundland. The accent found in Newfoundland that when spoken makes mainlanders and other travellers (its usually just mainlanders) confused and disoriented. Irish and french in origin the accent is the part that confuses the unexpecting tourist as english is actually being spoken...but badly; The unsettling chatter that you hear upon getting on the ferry at North Sydney that makes one relapse into it themselves be they newfoundlanders originally.
" As soon as you get on the boat to port au basques all yo hear is newfinease!!"
"-ow's she going me son"
"i'll grab ye a beer and meet ye on the bridge where we dances sometimes"
"me old trout"
"me and de bys are down by the bo-AT chewin' on fish patties"
"yes my girl"
"holy shit he -it me right in the fark wit a rubber boot!"
