NJSMA
a organization in new jersey that lets high schoolers audition and apply for an ensemble. a bullshit organization that makes students practice for 4+ months of a full, performable piece to ask them to play ~4 lines of it and determine if they're good or not by those four lines. run by a bunch of high school music teachers that failed to become actual musicians so they're filling their void by ruining the lives of high schoolers. supposed to be a honors ensemble with college professors but they can't do they're job right and they're lazy so they sometimes get high school music teachers. says the repertoire is difficult and the experience is rewarding but its none of that. only perform once in the whole year, until you have to do it again.
"Man, I hate NJSMA. They're such bullshit"
