Nonsumer
Typically, a person who avoids mass purchasing of material goods and/or services solely for the sake of "having the latest", "keeping up with the Jones', "staying with the latest trends, or a combination of any of these ridiculous reasons that are constantly pounded into the public psyche by mass media and commercial advertisements.
A Nonsumer typically or carefully examines what is a 'need' and what is a 'want' when thinking of buying something (everyday essential food and drink products usually exempt from this analysis). Personal research is also usually carried out regarding particular item/service, instead of relying on that 'advertisement you saw on your social media feed/general internet browsing/TV' etc.
