Anyone over 50 technically qualifies as an olper. It is usually used to desribe people engaged in activities that anyone under thirty wouldn't be caught dead doing. The term is usually applied in the plural. It's an abbreviation of "old person(s)"
Origin:this term was coined in 2008 by two teenagers and a slightly older sister, on a vacation in St. John VI with with two parents over fifty. You can just imagine!
Look at those olpers over there, in their pink polyester pant suits and white sneakers! Or: let's leave the olpers at home and check out the clubs in town.
