Paraffax
Paraffax is like Parallax, except instead of objects it’s facts being distorted.
n. The gap between what you actually said and how somebody interpreted it (often due to ideological brainwashing).

When asked by the interviewer who was funnier, Men or Women, Adam Carolla responded that Men were funnier, in general. Due to Paraffax, the interviewer interpreted this as Carolla saying that Women aren’t funny. Period.
