Bakuman
The latest manga series by the creators of Death Note.
"Average student Moritaka Mashiro enjoys drawing for fun. When his classmate and aspiring writer Akito Takagi discovers his talent, he begs Moritaka to team up with him as a manga-creating duo. But what does it take to make it in the manga-publishing world?"
The series follows Moritaka and Akito as they manage their way through publishing in Weekly Shonen Jump; including girlfriends, and meeting some very odd people. It's a very enjoyable manga, for both boys and girls, and is aimed primarily at teenagers. The series works mostly in small story arcs, working up to the larger arcs.
The humour and plot is catered slightly more towards boys, as it is published in a boy's magazine, so the story lacks the shoujo romance side.
