Dad Band
A collection of middle aged to older guys with day jobs, putting on Hawaiian or Flame shirts and playing classic rock at the corner bar on Friday night. Bands that play Dad Rock, usually badly.
Greasy Bob's Bar and Grill features pull tabs, Karaoke on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and Dad Bands on Weekends; one and a half stars.
cool dad band
A band, like Wilco, whose primary audience is comprised of dads with cool teenage kids, but who still attract enough cool teenage kids to be actually cool.

Band Dad
Middle aged men (sometimes women a.k.a. Band Mom) that are handy with tools and building. Typically has a child enrolled in marching band, drumline, color guard, drum corps, etc. Typically volunteers to build props, but may take on other tasks such as towing trailers, mixing Gatorade, etc.
