Pulling a Maya

Pulling a Maya is when you almost say something inappropriate in front of someone, but catch yourself before saying something potentially compromising.
Not exclusive but usually occurs in females called Maya, and while speaking to large audiences in public.

Knowing full well that you have a big test the next day, not studying, and then coming to school late in order to miss the test. This may occur for up to two weeks at a time.
