Randort
The opposite of a hypothesis. A randort is a random retort based on pure assumption(s). A hypothesis is a “highly educated guess” and a randort is a poorly supported guess often wildly correct but for the wrong reasons and mere connect coincidences.

Amber: My randort would be that in all practicality the market place was ripe for the use of the abacus to show simple addition and subtraction to the common uneducated customers and so perhaps was not directly invented for teaching but to avoid confusion and therefore conflict in the market place.
