Reverse Ferret
To suddenly go back on a decision. As used by Private Eye to describe when a government or media outlet suddenly changes its mind about something.
"In a reverse ferret, the Conservatives have announced they will take in Ukrainian refugees after all."
Reverse Ferret
For someone to ferret about you. Like messing about doing random jobs is ferreting, so for someone to do them for you is reverse ferreting
Boris has been reverse ferreting, doing so many things that don't make sense for me around the house.
