Rocketman Effect
A term used to describe someone who is desensitized to the wondrousness of their job, possession, or other general noun due to prolonged exposure.
Coined after Elton John’s “Rocketman” in which a seemingly wondrous job that involves going to space becomes mundane and ‘just another 9-5 job.
