In 1972, the Rollin' 60's formed as a faction of the original Crip gang, the Westside Crips, and have since grown. Their main rival is the Eight Tray Gangster Crips to the East; however, they also fight with all Hoover Criminal sets. Their main Blood rival would be the Van Ness Gangsters (VNG) to the north as well as another beef with the Inglewood Family Blood Gang. Since many of the 60s attend Crenshaw High School, north of Slauson Ave, they often clash with the Van Ness Gangster Brims. Other rivals would include all Hoover Criminals, especially the 83 Hoover Criminals, 74 Hoover Criminals and all Gangster Crips that are hooked up with the Eight Tray Gangster Crips, such as the 53 Avalon Gangster Crips and 43 Gangster Crips. The 60s are allied with the Rollin 40's Neighborhood Crips, Rollin 100's Neighborhood Crips, and all Neighborhood Crips
According to the Los Angeles Daily News, Rollin' 60's is "the largest black criminal street gang in the City of Los Angeles with over 1,600 active members - the size of an Army brigade."
