rolling stop
A lame excuse for a cop to pull you over, and only dangerous if done improperly, a rolling stop is when you don't come to a complete stop at a stop sign. This includes slowing down to .0000002 mph to look both ways in an unoccupied industrial district. Basically if your wheel doesn't stop moving, you've done a "rolling stop" in the eyes of the law.
Cop: Do you know why I pulled you over?
Victim: I was hoping you could tell me, and obviously I don't know why you pulled me over otherwise I wouldn'tve done it in front of you.
Cop: You did a rolling stop back there.
Victim: ...back there at my driveway on the cul-de-sac?
Cop: I don't speak French.

philly rolling stop
while doing 40 to 50 mph down small one way philly streets filled with crackheads and shoeless children you quickly tap the breaks and look both ways without slowing down at the stop signs posted every 40 yards at each intersection in philly. its also a good idea to honk your horn between and during each stop sign to alert children/crackheads/ opposing traffic of your oncoming car. dont worry about cops they do the same thing and dont bother pulling people over for traffic offenses anyway.
hey skip the philly rolling stop at the next sign i gotta dump out this dutchie.
Wisconsin rolling stop
the practice (quite illegal but engaged in nevertheless) of avoiding late-night stopping while on lonely rural roads (such as in Wisconsin) by slowing down, turning off one's headlights as one approaches an intersection, scanning for the beams of other drivers' headlights, and if none are seen, speeding through the stop sign before turning the headlights back on. It can result in less driving time, or a high-speed collision with someone else doing the same time.
I was late leaving the bar and so I tore down the back roads, making a few Wisconsin rolling stops in my hurry to get home.
california rolling stop
This is when a driver does not come to a complete stop at a stop sign, generally they slow down to about 5mph, then roll on through. Practiced in many states but got its name in California.
That little Honda driver did a california rolling stop, I almost hit him with my big Land Rover.
Michigan Rolling Stop
Term used when a driver does not come to a complete stop at a stop sign, and instead slowly rolls through the intersection when no cross traffic is present. It is the same as a California Roll but performed by drivers in Michigan.
"Aren't you going to stop?"
"I did. Michigan Rolling Stop."
"Right. I'm sure the cop behind us totally didn't notice."

Baja California rolling stop
root: California rolling stop
when driving in Mexico and you blow through a stop sign. reasons for executing a baja california rolling stop include: not seeing the stop sign because: a) it is non-reflective and difficult to see in low light, b) the intersection it is placed at makes no sense at all and does not even need a stop sign, c) it is hidden behind trees or other obstructive objects, d) the stop sign is bent and is not even facing in the driver's direction
