Bars Down Hoods Up - an aesthetically undesirable way to set up a bicycle's cockpit, specifically referring to the transition between the bars and the brake hoods. Most maintain that there should be a smooth transition between the tops of the bars and the hoods. Mounting the bars tilted too far down and the hoods too far up will result in an unsightly discontinuity where the lines meet. Note, not applicable to neo-retro builds where classic bar bends do not allow for a smooth transition without rolling the hoods way too far forward.
I fixed my BDHU by reinstalling the bars and brake levers.
