Shvartzer
Misspellings: Shwatsa; Shwatswa; S Shwartza; Shwatzeh, Shwatzah, Schwartza; Schwatza; Schwatzah; Schwatsa; Schwartzah; Schwatzer; Schwartzeh; Schwartsa; etc.
Definition: A politically incorrect yiddish term, used by Jewish Communities around the world (such as Israel, Easter European, and by older Jewish persons elsewhere) to refer to any black skinned person of African descent. Not used to refer to the predominantly Muslim North African Polulation, or other Arab peoples, who are usually referred to by direct insults meant to be more insulting (see: shtick dreck, chazerei, etc.).
While Israeli and Jewish Communities claim it as a non-derogatory term, it is most often used in an exclusionary way, which would at minimum be viewed as not politically correct and offensive to the subject. Very similar to referring to a group of strangers as "a bunch of Blacks", or saying "look at that black over there" for a comparison to the American English equivalent.
While most Jewish people today are extremely tolerant and inclusionary, small groups and communities, scattered throught the world, and with a high concentration in Israel, of Conservative and Orthodox Jews who believe that they are either superior to other ethnoreligious entities and individuals, or that preserving the Jewish bloodline can only be achieved through preventing interfaith relationships and marriage. They do not welcome outsiders into their community, and hold strong racist ideals against outsiders.
