俚语 sookeabilly
释义

Sookeabilly

1)A person who has lived most, if not all, of their life in Sooke, BC. Sometimes viewed as a hick by Victorians, who are unsure why anyone would want to live out there, apart from the reasonable housing costs.

2)Can also refer to a person from any small, suburban community who acts like they live the rural lifestyle.
So I heard you bought a house in Sooke- better watch for the Sookeabilly crowd. If you're not careful they'll have you square-dancing!

Have you heard? Fred's started raising goats in his back yard. What a sookeabilly!
