He then spent two seasons with the Houstan Oilers, no one doubted that McNair has the ability to be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
In 1995 he was the NFL's Draft pick finishing the season 2-14 with the Oilers. McNair became the highest drafted A. A. Quarterback ever. McNair went on singing a 28.7 million dollar contract to play football for the Oilers. Then went on to lead the Oilers to a victory over the NY Jets. In that game alone he trew for 198 yards. He moved back to Mount Olive to a 640 Acre ranch. He was the starting quarterback for the Oilers by 1977.
