Steyr AUG
The Steyr AUG is a bullpup assault rifle with a caliber of 5.56mm NATO (.223 rem). The Steyr AUG is gas-operated with a rotating bolt. It's overall length is 805mm. The barrel length is 508mm. Unloaded, it weighs in at about 3.8kg. Depending on the length of the magazine, it can hold 30 - 42 rounds. The Steyr AUG fires about 650 rounds / minute. The Steyr AUG was developed by the Austrian Steyr-Daimler-Puch company. It was designed by: Horst Wesp, Karl Wagner, and Karl Muser. Ever since (1960), the Austrian and Irish army has been using the Steyr AUG, SSG, and TMP.
The Steyr AUG is a very good rifle as in weight and ammunition choice.
Steyr AUG
Austrian-made assault rifle. Fires 5.56mm rounds. Extremely lightweight as most of the rifle (Including the magazine and trigger mechanism) is made of plastic. Also, its bullpup design makes it shorter than the M-16. Parts are interchangeable and several variants exist for different functions.
Has an effective range of 300m (With total range going as far as 2.7km) and capable of firing 700 rounds per minute. It is also fitted with a 1.5x optical sight as standard(Though it can also be fitted with a sniper scope)
As far as I can tell, the only downside to its design is the automatic lockout function located at the base of the trigger. While easy to put onto automatic, resetting the Steyr to semi-auto is difficult without something to prise the button.
Most definitions for this weapon come from Americans who have only ever seen it in Counterstrike, as opposed to having actually fired it.
