A swot is a person who studies really hard when nobody else does. Usually reserved for people you don't like anyway, but do better than you in an exam.
Mike is such a (swot), he was up all night studying for the class test.

A word used by morons to insult a person of superior academic abilities.

Said morons believe to have such intelligence and excelling at education and gaining qualifications is laughable and therefore to be called a 'swot' is a horrible, undesirable humiliation for the victim.
I hate my job, having to get up at 6am, put on a lumo jacket and clean up the thrash around the streets, its so demeaning, and the pay is crap, but I've got no other qualifications so I guess I can't do anything else. Yesterday i near got knocked down by a guy in a suit drivin a Porsche....looked like Adam Grimes from my old class. He was such a swot....

To study, particularly in preparation for a test or exam. (Used in South Africa, this word has now largely gone out of fashion amongst English kids, but is still used often by Afrikaans kids.)

SWOT

Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat. An analysis of a business opportunity whereby qualities of one’s own team are described as strengths or weaknesses and qualities of the situation (including competitors) are described as opportunities or threats. Strengths and opportunities are seen as correlated positive qualities and weaknesses and threats also correlate as negatives. Often visualized as a 4-cell box. Used primarily by business school gradates, especially marketeers, and more commonly used in the 1980’s than today.
