tattler
A device installed in a company vehicle to record and report (tattle) the vehicle's activities to the boss/owner. It tracks data such as when the vehicle starts and stops, its location history, and recordings inside and outside the cab. Modern tattlers may include audio/video recording and GPS tracking.
It's intended to prevent drivers from taking unauthorized breaks, unscheduled stops, and to record evidence in the event of a theft or accident.
