The big idea
"What's the big idea" is a phrase used whenever a person has a stupid, impossible, or pointless idea and someone needs to tell them off without being too rude.
Jason: "Dude, let's go smoke weed in public!"
Mike: "Oh, really? What's the big idea? Get arrested?"
Jason: "Uh, no...it's to have fun."
Mike: "In jail? Are you barred again?"

Big Ideas
Radiohead's best song! It has only been played live a handful of times and studio version may NEVER be recorded. It features a glockenspiel in full band arrangements.
Do you think Radiohead will play Big Ideas tonight? I really hope so.
I like the full band version of Big Ideas so much better than the acoustic.

Big Ideas
A popular Radiohead song (better known as "Nude") that, at long last, will feature on the band's as-yet-untitled seventh studio album.
The new version of Radiohead's "Nude (Big Ideas)" will include a Jonny Greenwood-orchestrated string section.
what's the big idea?
A question to an illogical action asking if there is some sort of higher purpose or if the act of stupidity is part of some larger, genious plan to take over the world.
*Japan, 1942*
A: You told our pilots to crash thier planes into ships, what's the big idea?
B: We lose a few cheap aeroplanes and a couple of pilots, the enemy loses an expensive ship and thousands of lives.
A: Ah.
