The Grandmother Principle
A theory that was first described by Samuel K. Williams, III, MD, CPG and others that describes a unique approach to patient care relying heavily on the clinical gestalt of the practitioner, and the sociological imagination, or attitude of wonder. A biopsychosocial approach to patient care which is published in Meharry's Journal of Healthcare for the Poor and Underserved as--"Evidence-based Care for the Elderly: Uses of The Grandmother Principle."
Man, that physician really applied "The Grandmother Principle" regularly in patient care and with excellent results!
