They are normal girls that go to school and stuff in the day, but at night, they must defend their city from anything from somebody robbing a bank to the whole city getting destroyed by monsters.
Some common villians include Mojo Joho, Him, and Fuzzy Lumpkins, along with any random monster. In real life, you get 9/11. The city goes back to normal in every episode.
