Expression used to denote ones depressive, apathetic attitude toward their work. Usually, it expresses your inability to change anything and your inevitable departure from said job.

Guy 2: "They can keep it. In fact, they should take more of my money. Who needs college tuition? Not my kids."

Can I keep you? means to protect someone and have them protect you, it's when you've had nothing else to depend on and are longing for a companion. A quote made famous by the movie Casper (1995)

Usually in fandom. When a fan likes a character or actor/celebrity, they might say "Can I keep him?" implying that they wish they could take him home. Not necessarily sexual, but can be. Keep like a pet because he's cute.
