trading guru
A specious trading expert.
Someone who presents themselves as a trustworthy authority on some market but is not a professional, not practicing what they say, deceives those who trust them into purchasing products or services, and will psychologically manipulate the same people to maintain or spread their deceptions.
Trading gurus can be characterized typically by their under education, self-help approach to psychology, spurious or complete lack of any market research, no proof of trading history, lack of success with their methods, pop-financial content, and promoting affiliates with no due diligence.

I just bought my trading guru's course for several hundred dollars a month, and I feel like I'm not getting any better at trading my own money. In fact I'm currently losing money, and now I'm feeling pressured to trade more because my trading guru says I'm not trading their methods correctly. When I listen to my trading guru and the more I trade exactly as they teach, I am losing even more money. I think I got scammed by this trading guru.
