'trebekian' - adj. the act of pursuing knowledge or intelligence for it's inherent value or wonder, without further agenda.

For example: Tony's knowledge of bonsai is trebekian.
The four year old's knowledge of dinosaurs is trebekian.
That teacher creates such a trebekian atmosphere in her classroom.
