Trumpopia

A state of political turmoil that thrives on conflict, contradictions, misinformation, denial and paranoia. Radicals thrive in such an environment, feeling empowered to pursue hostile tactics to promote their cause.

International relations are turned on its head, with a country’s traditional allies rebuked, enemies befriended, and international agreements torn up or used as leverage to promote a leader’s self-interest.

Internally, minorities are marginalised and extremist policy promoted, with populist simply worded rhetoric repeated over and over to dumb down the population and create an alternative reality.

Paranoia of ‘deep state’ and ‘government moles’ will result in the leader attacking public officials and public institutions to create a state of paralysis, where public servants are afraid to make decisions or speak out against corruption.

A country in a state of Trumpopia will quickly divide between strong polar political divides, slowly consuming itself with internal fighting, media bias and remain in perpetual uncertainty.
